Location of the day: Newcastle Upon Tyne...

For those of you on a tight budget, how about this fantastic 2 bed flat in the stylish student area of Jesmond? It's a steal at only £305,000, just check out the ultra-modern kitchette.

You have to share a garden with the people upstairs, but you get a single garage! You'll be situated on the Osborne Road, home to some of the classiest bars on the outskirts of Newcastle, they even play that game at happy hour where you hit the button on the random number generator to win a free shot of apple sourz!

An ideal starter home for a young couple to get their feet firmly on the ladder at the heart of the thriving north east economy!

Is now a good time to buy?

Many people have asked me whether now is a good time to buy a property.

Of course it is - it's always a good time to buy, even now.

Why?

The housing market is in a bit of a lull now, so canny buyers who have their finances in place will be able to pounce on any property that comes to market. And with interest rates as low as they are, most savvy buyers will be able to offer that little bit extra to seal the deal. So if you're looking for a good property in a good area, you'll have no trouble securing your dream property.

But don't forget - house prices can only go up - so it's always a good time to buy if you intend to hold for the long term!.

Is now a good time to sell?

Many people have asked me whether now is a good time to sell a property.

Of course it is - it's always a good time to sell, even now.

Why?

The housing market is in a bit of a lull now, so canny buyers who have their finances in place will be ready to pounce on any property that comes to market. And with interest rates as low as they are, most savvy buyers will be prepared to offer that little bit extra to seal the deal. So if you have a good property in a good area, you'll have no trouble finding buyers looking for their dream property.

But don't forget - house prices can only go up - so it's only a good time to sell if you are thinking of trading up!.

Hi!

*breathlessy*

Hi! Somebody's set up a 'blog' for me where I can write all about how to choose the right property for you. But I've got to dash - I'm going to a viewing with a lovely young couple with a budget of half a million. I'm sure we'll be able to find a one or two bed room flat with great potential to get them on the housing ladder.

This'll be a lovely base to start off their married life and they're looking to buy in an up-and-coming area so this'll help them build up equity to upgrade into a two-bed terraced house in the next ten years or so.

Don't forget - location, location, location, and house prices can only go up!
